(Don't) Do It Again
Röyksopp announce their final ever album, ‘The Inevitable End’
Hear an edit of their Robyn collaboration, ‘Monument’.
Norwegian DJ duo Röyksopp have announced plans to release ‘The Inevitable End’, their final album.
In what will be their last traditional release on album format, the pair of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland aren’t calling it quits altogether. Instead, they’re focusing on putting music out in different forms.
“We feel like this is a goodbye to the traditional album format. In our consecutive run of albums, we have been able to say what we want to say and do what we want to do with the LP. We’re not going to stop making music, but the album format as such, this is the last thing from us,” they explained in a statement.
With the album announcement, they’ve also shared a new video for ‘Monument’, an edit of their Robyn collaboration that originally featured on the joint mini-LP ‘Do It Again’.
Röyksopp and Robyn were the subject of a DIY cover feature back in July of this year - read that here.
‘The Inevitable End’ is out 10th November.
