RZA And Interpol’s Paul Banks Recording An Album Together

Banks has spent the past six-months teaming up with Wu-Tang’s RZA.

Paul Banks’ hip-hop side showed its face in January 2013 with an initial mixtape of more unusual influences on ‘Everybody On My Dick Like They Supposed To Be’. The Interpol frontman’s continuing his pursuit of hip-hop stardom by collaborating with RZA, potentially on an entire full-length.

The pair have combined over an entire six months, reportedly, according to the Wu-Tang stalwart in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Me and Paul, we play chess together and just hang out,’ he said about the collaboration. ‘We went to the studio and we started writing songs and they sound very, very different than what I do, but very unique and very peculiar. But it won’t be out for a while. It may take us a year to finish this album. That’s where my heart is at musically.’

‘I think if we put our sandwich together it will be great,’ he added. Yum - an RZA sandwich, topped with Paul Banks mayo.
