She & Him reveal new video for ‘Stay Awhile’

Ahead of the release of their fifth album ‘Classics’ (due out on December 2nd) twee-tastic duo She & Him have unveiled the video for its lead single, ‘Stay Awhile’.

Updating Dusty Springfield’s ode to melancholy and loneliness for the new age, the two flit around a swish-looking apartment without ever meeting, Zooey floating on air and waltzing around with an invisible suitor as Ward puts in an admirable (if slightly suspect) shift on air guitar.

The follow-up to last year’s quirky ‘Volume 3’, ‘Classics’, an album of ‘timeless standards’ carries on the duo’s well-hewn retro vibe and is the second She & Him record to be comprised completely of covers, the first of which was 2011’s festive-themed ‘A Very She & Him Christmas’.
