Shopping announce ‘Why Choose?’ album, share ‘Why Wait?’
Group’s second release is out via FatCat this October.
East London trio Shopping have announced plans to release their second album, ‘Why Choose?’
The follow-up to 2013 debut ‘Consumer Complaints’ is coming out on 2nd October via FatCat Records. It’s being led by ‘Why Wait?’, a song that furthers the immediacy-first approach held by Rachel Aggs (guitar), Billy Easter (bass) and Andrew Milk (drums).
‘Why Wait?’ has Aggs asking strangers “why pay something for nothing?” above simple-as-it-gets guitar lines and barely-there but punchy backdrops. It’s a tale of rebellion being delivered in cutting fashion. “Mostly we are singing about rejection, frustration, fighting, fleeting relationships, wasting time and losing money but there is also a kind of wildness and fun,” say the band about their new LP.
