Shu thing
Shura heads down memory lane with ‘311215’ video
It features a baby Shura dressed up as Batman. Fair enough.

Shura’s properly ace debut album ‘Nothing’s Real’ features plenty of nods to her family; from crackly recordings of her mother telling her to quit smoking, to audio of the London musician as a toddler, apparently in a piss with her twin brother. It’s a theme that Shu goes to town on in her new ‘311215’ video - it contains more home camcorder footage than a standard episode of ‘You’ve Been Framed’.
Besides showing off an enviably cool baseball cap, and running around town dressed as Batman (serious toddler style on show, here) the video also features regular appearances from Shura’s mum. Her voice features heavily on ‘311215’ - the closing track from ‘Nothing’s Real’. It’s a song that deals with the fairly frightening idea that, one day, we’ll all lose someone we love.
