A Whorl new world
Simian Mobile Disco stream ‘Tangents’ from new album
First play from ‘Whorl’ previews a new LP out this September.
Simian Mobile Disco are streaming the first track from their new album ‘Whorl’, which comes out 8th September via Anti-.
The album was recorded live in its entirety, with songs performed in front of a crowd of 900 in California venue Pappy & Harriet’s. Comprised entirely of analog gear - no computers - the session that made it to tape is meant to be a “live recreation” of the studio process.
Lead single ‘Tangents’ was initially streamed as a preview - now you can hear it in full below. It’s a spiralling work of glass-like parts and gradual build.
Simian Mobile Disco play London’s union Chapel on 9th September.
