That Sinkane feeling
Sinkane announces ‘Mean Love’ album, shares ‘Hold Tight’
Listen to the lead track from Ahmed Gallab’s new LP on City Slang.
Ahmen Gallab aka Sinkane has announced details for his second full-length, ‘Mean Love’.
2012 debut ‘Mars’ was a scatterbrained introduction, coloured with a million different shades. Its follow-up promises to be just as beat driven, but ‘Mean Love’’s lead track ‘Hold Tight’ sees in a significant shift.
The new track’s picking up comparisons to Sade and Rhye left, right and centre - there’s a definite slickness to it, with warm organs backing up a heated-up melodrama.
Damon Albarn and David Byrne are among the guests on the new record, which also features members of LCD Soundsystem and Blood Orange.
