Sleater-Kinney and Fred Armisen cover The B-52’s ‘Rock Lobster’
Carrie Brownstein’s Portlandia co-star made a guest apperance at New York’s Terminal 5.
Besides the small matter of playing in Sleater-Kinney (no biggy or anything) Carrie Brownstein also writes and stars in American sketch show Portlandia. This weekend the band invited Brownstein’s co-star from the show, Fred Armisen, onto the stage at New York’s Terminal 5. Together, they all covered The B52’s ‘Rock Lobster’ because of course they did.
Currently on tour in the U.S. Sleater-Kinney are on a bit of a covering spree. Last week they took on The Ramones’ Christmas song ‘Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight)’ at a show in Ohio.
Sleater-Kinney united at the beginning of this year, returning after a decade with new album ‘No Cities To Love’. They’re reportedly plotting another new record once touring winds down.
