Sleater-Kinney release new track ‘Hurry On Home’
It’s the first taste of the trio’s new, St Vincent-produced album.
There is brand new Sleater-Kinney in the world!
The trio have released ‘Hurry On Home’, the first track from their upcoming album, which as previously reported, is produced by Annie Clark.
“I think for Carrie and Corin it was liberating to explore a different sound palette,” says drummer Janet Weiss. Carrie adds, “Instead of just going into the studio to document what we’d done, we were going in to explore and to find the essence of something. To dig in deeper.” Corin says working on the new music “was like this manic energy of empowerment.”
It follows 2015’s ‘No Cities To Love’. Read the February 2015 cover feature with the band here.
The track comes with a lyric video directed by Miranda July. Watch below.
