Soulwax air remix of Tame Impala’s ‘Let It Happen’
‘Currents’ cut picks up a huge edit.
Belgium production group Soulwax have shared a heady remix of Tame Impala’s ‘Let It Happen’, the lead single from latest album ‘Currents’.
Debuting on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, Soulwax’s edit brings the disco funk of ‘Currents’ to an extreme. Beginning ominous, any sense of haze or mystique gives way to a razor-sharp groove that incorporates Kevin Parker’s similarly punchy guitar lines. Spanning nine minutes, it’s an absolute monster.
Tame Impala play Liverpool Olympia tonight, 9th September. They’ve just announced huge UK dates for 2016.
