Speedy Ortiz share video for ‘Swell Content’

Speedy Ortiz have unveiled a video for ‘Swell Content’, the latest single to be lifted from this year’s ‘Foil Deer’ album.

In the clip for the sub-two minute hit, the band are taken to art class and subjected to the wrath of a particularly bossy teacher. It all works out in the end though, hugs all round.

‘Foil Deer’ was released in April - “a leaping, high-spirited joy of a record” - and the band are set to bring it to the UK and Europe in October for an extensive tour. The run includes a set at DIY Presents’ All Years Leaving event in Birmingham and a London headline show at the Dome in Tufnell Park. Support for the majority of the UK shows comes from Trust Fund.

The band also recently started a ‘help hotline’ for fans who feel unsafe at their shows, with Sadie Dupuis saying: “Together we can make shows safer and more inclusive for a wider community.”
