Sun Kil Moon amps up for new ‘Ali/Spinks 2’ track
Electric-led track is taken from the ‘Universal Themes’ album.
Mark Kozelak aka Sun Kil Moon is streaming ‘Ali/Spinks 2’, a track from his forthcoming album ‘Universal Themes’, out 1st June on Caldo Verde Records.
Electric-led, the new track sees Kozelak’s spontaneous technique filtered into new territory. An off-the-cuff verse gives way to chaotic, instrumental bedlam, before it all falls back on the songwriter’s True Detective references.
‘Ali/Spinks 2’ matches up with ‘The Possum’ in previewing ‘Universal Themes’. A quick follow-up to the acclaim ‘Benji’, it features Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley on percussion duties.
