Sun Kil Moon and Jesu are working on a new collaborative release

Sun Kil Moon and Jesu are set to release a new collaborative album together. Jesu’s Justin K. Broadrick, tweeted the news this morning in response to fans questioning him about any forthcoming material.

Broadrick said: “A lot of questions about a new Jesu record, I’ve been working on it for some time, it’s a collaboration LP between Sun Kil Moon and Jesu.”

That’s all Broadrick’s willing to share for the time being, but the untitled release would be the first collaboration between Mark Kozelek and the Godflesh frontman since Jesu’s 2009 album ‘Opiate Sun’, released on the former’s Caldo Verde label.

Earlier in 2015, Mark Kozelek confirmed the release of Sun Kil Moon’s upcoming album ‘Universal Themes’, out on 2ndJune via Caldo Verde Records. Listen to the lead single ‘Ali/Spinks’ via Spin, here and album opener ‘The Possum’ below.
