SXSW Announce Second Wave Of Acts: Wavves, The Joy Formidable & More

They join the likes of Alt-J, Fear of Men, Haim, Gallows and Thurston Moore on the line-up.

SXSW have announced the second wave of acts set to appear at next year’s festival.

Wavves, The Joy Formidable, Everything Everything, Angel Haze and Cold War Kids are all now confirmed to perform at the event in Austin, Texas next March.

They join the likes of Alt-J, Fear of Men, Haim, Gallows and Thurston Moore who were initially unveiled in the festival’s first announcement made early last month.

The full list of additions to the bill in this second wave of acts is as follows.

Rookie of the Year, Angel Haze, Major Lazer, Wavves, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Cold War Kids, The Joy Formidable, Dawes, Robyn Hitchcock, Richard Thompson, Toro Y Moi, Thee Oh Sees, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Charli XCX, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, Hundred Waters, The Hood Internet, Conveyor, The Dear Hunter, Doomtree’s Dessa, Kid Koala, Ra Ra Riot, The Crystal Method, Daedelus, Delicate Steve, Reignwolf, Reptar, The Orwells, Allo Darlin’, Chance The Rapper, Aloe Blacc, Everything Everything, Sky Ferreira, Keep Shelly in Athens, The Soft Moon, Skaters, Mount Moriah, and Miracles of Modern Science.

The annual Austin, Texas music festival, now heading into its 27th year, is set to take place from 12th - 17th March next year, and will also feature Dave Grohl as its key note speaker.
