Talk Show announce debut EP ‘These People’

The London quartet have also shared new track ‘Banshee’.

Woohoo! DIY faves Talk Show have just announced their debut EP!

Set for release on 27th March, ‘These People’ is made up of four tracks, with first banger ‘Banshee’ being shared today. “At its core, ‘Banshee’ is a frustrated lovelorn tale,” frontman Harrisson Swann says. “We didn’t want ‘Banshee’ to feel depressing or hopeless, more heartfelt and ardent. I wanted the lyrics and song to progress through a relationship which brings no resolution, nor closure for the protagonist. Focused on melodic guitar lines and the rhythm section supporting the lead vocal, it helped us to create an uplifting track with a melancholic undertone.”

Part of our Class of 2020, the London four piece expressed their love of performing live, and will be heading out on the road to support the debut EPs release in April! “We’re going to gig, and that’s how we’re going to start the band, and do it as much as we can; for us it’s the most fun,” Harrisson told us. “We just had a mindset from the start that it’s got to be fun and if we don’t enjoy it then it’s not worth it. We’re never going to be one of these bands that stand at the front and act all serious, like ‘Oh yeah, we’re so fucking cool wearing sunglasses’. It’s not us. We’re a bit stupid. It’s fun to have a big live show and have a laugh with it. We’ll catch each other on stage and be like, ‘No, we’re not playing hard enough. Harder, harder, harder!’”
