Tall Ships air new track ‘Will To Life

Phil Taggart played the band’s new track last night sitting in for a poorly Annie Mac.

Last night Brighton band Tall Ships aired a brand new track, ‘Will To Life’. The first ever spin came from Phil Taggart, who was sitting in for a poorly Annie Mac on her prime-time evening show. Part of a double A-side single for Too Pure Records, this marks the first new taste of material from Tall Ships since they put out their 2012 debut ‘Everything Touching’.

Time away has done the band no harm whatsoever. As immediate and striking as they sounded three years ago, ‘Will To Live’ marks a triumphant, clattering return from Tall Ships. Having played a short string of preview shows to roadtest new album material last October, the band are back in the studio, and news of album number two is surely imminent.

Tall Ships are also set to celebrate the release of double A-side ‘Will To Life / Life Goes on’ with a DIY Presents gig at London’s The Lexington on 24th May.

Listen to ‘Will To Life’ here - the song starts around the 1:49:07 mark.
