Tall Ships confirm one-off DIY Presents London show

We’re very excited to confirm that Tall Ships, who are currently in the midst of finishing up their highly-anticipated second album, will be playing a special, one-off DIY Presents show in London this May.

The band, who made a return to tiny venues late last year when they took to the Old Blue Last to give fans a taste of their newer material, will be playing at The Lexington in London on 24th May.

“The Old Blue Last was incredible,” the band’s Ric Phethean reminisces, when we spoke to him during their recent recording session down in Devon. “So much fun,” he remembers. “We just love playing live, and it was perfect to road-test new material, and the sing-alongs were the best we’ve ever had.”

As for what fans should come to expect from their first London show of 2015, his answer is simple. “Everything’s a greatest hits show with us!” he laughs. “This is an unofficial single party for our [as yet unannounced] new single. There will be loads of new material, and it’s basically a re-introduction to the band. We’re really looking forward to it.”
