Ten Tonnes shares video for ‘Cracks Between’
Ethan Barnett plays a First Fifty show in London for DIY next month.
Ten Tonnes - aka Ethan Barnett - is playing a Great Escape First Fifty showfor DIY in London next month, and has just shared a new video for recent single ‘Cracks Between’.
A cacti-tastic (that’s a mouthful and a half) clip, it fits with Barnett calling ‘Cracks Between’ a “light-hearted look at a break-up” upon its release back in September.
We spoke to Ten Tonnes earlier this year for a Neu feature in the magazine, talking about his upbringing and working with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
“My friend and I have always been massive fans of The Black Keys,” he explains, while sipping an afternoon pint just off Brick Lane in London, “so I rang him straight away. [My management] were like, ‘Oh, do you want to write with Dan Auerbach?’ and I was just like, ‘What do you mean?! Uhh, yes!’”
And despite any potential for fanboying, their session was a productive one. “He’s such a cool dude and we got four songs done in two days, which is pretty insane. Plus, his studio was like heaven, it was so beautiful. He’s just got hundreds and hundreds of guitars…”
Ten Tonnes plays a First Fifty show for DIY at Birthdays in London on 23rd November alongside Freak, FEET and King Nun.
