The National to play Mad Cool Festival 2019
The band are the first name revealed for the Madrid fest next July.
Mad Cool Festival returns to Madrid next July, and they’ve just announced the first act set to tag along - The National!
The band have been on the road for the last year and a bit in support of their seventh album ‘Sleep Well Beast’, and are set to continue the run into next year.
This year’s Mad Cool saw performances from Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, Tame Impala, Kasabian, Queens Of The Stone Age, Dua Lipa and loads more.
The National just finished up a US tour in support of ‘Sleep Well Beast’, during which they were joined by Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches at Austin City Limits festival to perform the album’s track ‘Guilty Party’.
Frontman Matt Berninger has also contributed a song to new voting awareness campaign ‘Songs For Swing Left’ alongside Kurt Vile, Warpaint and more.
The National play Mad Cool 2019, which runs from 11th-13th July in Madrid.
