The Orielles share new track ‘Let Your Dogtooth Grow’
The Halifax band are set to hit the road this month.
After a summer of playing festivals, Halifax band The Orielles are back with a brand new track!
‘Let You Dogtooth Grow’ is their latest on Heavenly Recordings, and it’s a three minute burst of languid, dream-like vocals, swirling, sometimes intricate guitar riffs and snapping yet clashing percussive elements. Speaking of the track, the band said: “Let Your Dogtooth Grow was once again recorded and produced by the legend that is Marta ‘bueno’ Salogni.
“It features our first (but certainly not last) outing with the Mini Moog, which oscillates freely throughout the closing minute of the track. Furthermore, the outro to the song becomes a melting-pot of our influences, combining guitar riffs reminiscent of Turkish psychedelic musician, Mustafa Ozkent with the Moog Synth riff which is redolent of Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’.”
This week, The Orielles are set to kick off a UK tour in Nottingham before heading off around the country. Tickets for the dates are on sale now.
Earlier in the year, we caught up with The Orielles to talk about their treasure trove of influences and more. Revisit the interview here.
