The Orielles reveal next LP preview ‘Tears Are’
The Manchester trio’s fourth album is out next month.

The Orielles have continued to pique interest for their forthcoming next album ‘Only You Left’ with their latest single ‘Tears Are’ - an atmospheric yet immediate offering that metamorphoses over its nearly six minute runtime to reflect its lyrical ambiguity.
Explaining more about the track’s deliberately unfinished title, bassist and vocalist Esmé Dee Hand-Halford has mused: “You could think of something deeply human. But you could also answer it in a completely linguistic sense and think of a tear as a symbol or an image.” Listen to it below.
Due to arrive on 13th March via Heavenly Recordings, ‘Only You Left’ is the follow up to the trio’s 2022 third album ‘Tableau’, and was recorded between Hamburg and the Greek island of Hydra. According to Esmé, the band wrote with “this vague imagery of wood versus metal” in mind, where “Hamburg was metal and Hydra was wood. Everything fell naturally into either category.”
After supporting English Teacher on the Leeds band’s recent UK tour, The Orielles are set to embark on an intimate in-store run next month, stopping off in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool, Bristol, Brighton, and London.
Plus, they’ll also be hosting a special Album Lunch event in London on 22nd March, where attendees will get to listen to ‘Only You Left’ while enjoying a multi-course meal created by chef Helen Graham, inspired by the band’s time in Hydra. You can find out more and get tickets here, and see their full tour schedule below.
