The Streets to perform ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ in full on 2026 UK tour
It’ll be the first time Mike Skinner and his band have played the seminal album front-to-back.
The Streets - the musical moniker of Mike Skinner and his band - have announced that they’ll be hitting the road in 2026 for a special eight-date tour around the UK, on which they’ll play iconic 2004 LP ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ in full for the very first time.
The shows will be an opportunity for fans to hear the album - a captivating narrative full of humour, heart, and hope - in order, exactly as Skinner intended when he penned the tracks more than two decades ago. “I wrote it as a story from beginning to end, even studying screenwriting to shape it and without the faintest idea how people would react,” he has said, reflecting on that time.
“We’ve been looking for something bold to do with the live show, and we landed here: some tracks have never been played live, others haven’t surfaced in years. It’s a new challenge to bring the whole journey to life on stage, but I have an incredible band and we always give everything every night. So I’m certain we’ll make finding out what happened to that thousand quid a party every night.”
Kicking off in Margate’s Dreamland on 26th June, the run will see Skinner and co. make stops in Bristol, Manchester, London (at the capital’s famed Ally Pally), Ludlow, Leeds, and Essex, before bringing things to a triumphant conclusion in Norwich on 21st August.
Tickets will be available via general sale from 10am BST on Friday 17th October. Remind yourself of the brilliance of ‘Blinded By The Lights’ and check out the full schedule for The Streets’ A Grand Don’t Come For Free 2026 UK tour below.
