The Strokes to play Los Angeles benefit show
The gig is fundraising for several homelessness charities in the area.

The Strokes have announced a benefit show in Los Angeles, raising money for several local homelessness charities.
The gig, which takes place on 25th July at the Wiltern, will donate all profits to three organizations: the Center in Hollywood, Waste Not Want Not Now, and the Downtown Women’s Center.
“Homelessness and mental health are big issues in L.A. and we’re happy to do a little something that can hopefully help a bit,” said The Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas. ”The Center in Hollywood and Waste Not Want Not Now are great, well-intentioned and trustworthy charities doing wonderful work.”
The gig comes after L.A. saw a 12% increase in homelessness over the last two years.
The Strokes released their new EP ‘Future Present Past’ last month. Tickets for their LA gig go on sale tomorrow.
