The Vaccines unveil new single, ‘Dream Lover’

Hear the latest take from third LP ‘English Graffiti’.

The Vaccines have unveiled ‘Dream Lover’, the second track to be lifted from third album ‘English Graffiti’.

‘Dream Lover’ links up with bolshy lead single ‘Handsome’ in previewing the LP, a follow-up to 2012 chart-topper ‘Come of Age’. The record was produced by Dave Fridmann and Cole MGN, and it’s due out via Columbia on 25th May.

The new single is out a week prior, 18th May. Played as a Hottest Record by Huw Stephens on Radio 1, this buzzsaw track departs from ‘Handsome’’s straightforward ruckus, instead opting for a slick, glam’ed-up ‘80s-nodding routine. Packs one hell of a chorus, too. Listen below.

Speaking to Huw Stephens, Justin describes the track as “the best pop song we’ve written.” Elaborating, he said: “Conceptually and lyrically it’s really direct. The riff reminds me of something Run DMC or Beastie Boys might have sampled.”

The Vaccines’ UK tour continues tomorrow night, dates:

APRIL
01 Manchester, Albert Hall
03 Portsmouth, Pyramids
04 Bath, Pavilion
05 Folkestone, The Leas Cliff Hall
