Thom Yorke unveils his own remix of MF Doom’s ‘Gazillion Ear’

The Radiohead frontman revealed the mix while co-hosting on Radio 1 with Benji B.

While co-hosting a three-hour show with Benji B on BBC Radio 1, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke treated listeners to a whole bunch of revelations. Not only did he suggest that the band would tour in 2017, but he also professed his love for Girl Band. He even slagged off weird album releases (in a move hilariously lacking in self-awareness because, you know, Radiohead aren’t into that kind of thing, ahem, ‘In Rainbows’).

Towards the end of the show, he even revealed a new remix. Well, kind of. Yorke gave a spin to an updated version of his reworking of MF DOOM’S ‘Gazillion Ear,’ which first came about in 2009. It’s a bit weird, wrapping glitchy noises, tinny beats and spacey synths around the rapper’s untouched rhymes.

Listen to the whole show here. The remix of ‘Gazillion Ear’ can be found roughly around the 2:37:00 mark.
