Thundercat returns with Remi Wolf collab ‘Children Of The Baked Potato’
The bass legend has also shared another single, ‘I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time’, and announced a 2026 UK/EU tour.

Back with his first original music in two years, Thundercat has just dropped not one but two new singles: the woozy, dreamstate-like ‘I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time’, and the dynamic ‘Children Of The Baked Potato’.
Inspired by the iconic LA jazz club (which was a huge influence on Thundercat’s fusion sound) the latter track also saw him team up with Remi Wolf - another ‘child’ of the venue, just like him. “She knew exactly what the song needed. And it was wild to watch her make it happen,” he has said, reflecting on Remi’s contributions. “The more I listen to the song, it’s clear there was no one better I could have picked.”
Having shared his last solo album, ‘It Is What It Is’, back in 2020, Thundercat has since turned his hand to tunes with Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Justice and more, as well as making his acting debut (in 2021’s The Book Of Boba Fett).
Check out the videos for both new tracks below.
