Toothless is stuck on repeat in the video for ‘Sisyphus’

Toothless – aka Bombay Bicycle Club’s Ed Nash – is releasing his debut album ‘The Pace of the Passing’ on 27th January, and its latest breezy single ‘Sisyphus’ now has a brand new video.

Inspired by the Greek myth, where Sisyphus has to keep rolling a boulder up a mountain, Ed and his friends are forced to repeat different actions in the new clip. As directors Joseph Keirs and Sef Tedder explain: “we imagined the often upbeat and happy people inside GIFs as prisoners, forced to repeat the same sunny smile or hammy performance forever with a growing sense of madness. As such, rather than loop the footage in Sisyphus, each clip is a separately filmed attempt to recreate the exact same move with a little more crazy each time.”

Apparently this meant that Pawel couldn’t walk after doing over 100 squats, while Olga munched “over half a Krispy Kreme factory” despite hating doughnuts. Ed suffered the worst fate though, being forced to drink 12 warm beers. Stay strong, man.

Ed is also off on tour as Toothless early next year, kicking off in Glasgow on 27th February and popping off to Manchester, London, Nottingham, Leeds and Birmingham before rounding off in Brighton on 5th March.
