TRAAMS join the second round of Jäger Curtain Call

The Chichester trio will also play at the Queen of Hoxton on 9th November.

As we announced last month, the Jäger Curtain Call has returned this autumn to give another three new bands the opportunity to head into the studio, record a new track and play a live show all on the same road.

Earlier this year, DIY teamed up with Jägermeister for Jäger Curtain Call, a project designed to lend a hand to bands at an undeniably important point in their careers. Taking place on Curtain Road, which is home to many iconic labels, studios and venues, Jäger Curtain Call is about providing bands with the opportunity - whether that be through recording, making videos or playing gigs - to make their next step really count.

Having already seen Bellevue Days head into Strongroom Studio before playing alongside Menace Beach at the Queen Of Hoxton, the latest band to join in the fun are Chichester trio TRAAMS, who’ve already paid the studio a visit to record a new (twelve-minute!) song.

“It was a good day, although Sunday is traditionally the day of rest,” the band’s Leigh Padley told us, of their day recording. “We travelled well and worked hard and managed to get a song out of it.

“It was quite smooth actually, it’s an excellent studio and we had a great team with us,” he continues, on the process as a whole. “It took a while to get going but once we were settled it was a lot of fun for everyone. We’re pretty adaptable in the studio as we’ve tried a few different approaches. Plus, the three of us haven’t got a clue how to make anything work. If you left us alone in a studio we wouldn’t know where to start, we’d probably get frustrated at the buttons and cables and comfy walls.”
