Twin Atlantic unveil new video for ‘Oceans’
The band’s frontman Sam McTrusty takes centre stage in their latest visual offering.
Ever wondered what would happen if Twin Atlantic’s Sam McTrusty finally took the plunge and decided to perform one of their tracks completely submerged in water? Well, turns out, the band have decided to supply us with the answer in their new video for ‘Oceans’.
The admittedly profound and powerful clip follows the frontman as he gathers handfuls of nostalgic artefacts and heads out to sea - obviously donning his trusty waterproof mac, and for good reason. Centring around his movements and his time on the boat, the video sees him drop each item - bundles of postcards, teddy bears, even an engagement ring - to the depths before joining them himself.
The video, as directed by Ian Greenhill and Jordan Laird, accompanies the band’s forthcoming new single, which gets taken from their latest album ‘Great Divide’. ‘Oceans’ gets released on 22nd February through Red Bull Records, and you can check out the video below.
The band also recently announced plans for a rather sizeable UK tour. They’ll be making a handful of appearances across the country, including shows in Manchester, London and Birmingham, that will then conclude with a date at the massive SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
The band will be playing:
MAY
05 Albert Hall - Manchester
07 O2 Academy Brixton - London
08 O2 Academy - Birmingham
09 SSE Hydro - Glasgow
