Twin Shadow announces Warner Bros. deal

“I wanted to give you an uncompromising experience at every turn”, explains George Lewis Jr.

Back in August, Twin Shadow postponed a string of live dates, citing “a lot of really great things going on behind the scenes of Twin Shadow that I want to tell you badly about”.

A Facebook post today (3rd November) begins to make things a little clearer, as George Lewis Jr explains he’s “excited to announce that I’ve found a group of like-minded people at Warner Bros. Records”.

Lewis had previously said he’d be releasing a new album in October.

“When I last wrote you, I shared the news that we had to postpone our tour,” Lewis explains. “With a huge sigh of relief, I can finally reveal a few more details about what is happening in the Twin Shadow camp—and reveal new tour dates!

Towards the end of recording this third Twin Shadow album, I came into a strong feeling—a place of creative change. I wanted to give you an uncompromising experience at every turn. To do this, I had to put the brakes on the tour, the planned album release, and reconsider where Twin Shadow was headed. With even more perspective, I realized that I was going to need help to pull off the vision for this album.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve found a group of like-minded people at Warner Bros. Records to help me accomplish this goal. In the interest of progress and adventure, I look forward to the new relationship (and hopefully a coffee with Prince).
