U2 fans who bought ‘Songs Of Innocence’ Record Store Day vinyl find a Tool EP inside

U2 released their straight-to-iTunes album ‘Songs Of Innocence’ on vinyl this weekend for Record Store Day. In a bizarre mix-up, fans who queued for the record discovered that a mix-up between the ’Songs Of Innocence’ and Tool’s 1992 EP, ‘Opiate’ had left them listening to something completely unexpected.

As FACT reports, fan Dianne Delahunty tweeted Record Store Day’s UK Twitter account informing them of the error: “@RSDUK seems there’s a couple of #U2 #RSD15 misprints about - some have a Tool EP inside!”, she tweeted.

Delahunty purchased her record from Banquet Records in Kingston with two other fans also coming forward to state they had experienced the same mistake.
