Vivian Girls Announce Split

Brooklyn band put an end to their 7 year chapter.

Brooklyn garage punk band Vivian Girls have announced their split. They’ve been together since 2007, releasing three albums in the process. Their members - Cassie Ramone, Katy Goodman and Ali Koehler - have since gone on to work in different projects, with their last record as a three-piece coming out in 2011.

The band announced a positive statement regarding their split.

Brooklyn, New York, March 2007: we started making music together and became what we know as Vivian Girls. It’s been a long and crazy journey in the seven years since, and we feel as though the time has finally come to let our band rest in peace. It’s been an experience that we’ll look back on and cherish and we’d like to thank you for sharing it with us. We have had such an amazing time being a band, touring the world, releasing records and meeting all of you.’

Vivian Girls close their chapter as a band with two all-ages shows in Brookyn, New York and LA’s Church on York.
