Christopher Owens has announced he is to part ways with Chet JR” White.”
Christopher Owens, one half of San Francisco duo Girls, has announced that he plans to part ways with the musical project.
In a statement posted on Turnstile Music - the band’s current label - Owens said the following:
‘Dear all,
This may come as a surprise to many & has been an issue of much thought for me. My decision was not easy to make.
I am leaving Girls. My reasons at this time are personal. I need to do this in order to progress.
I will continue to write & record music. More will be announced soon. I thank you all for everything.
Sincerely–Christopher’
He has also posted the statement to his Twitter account.
At this present time, we’re unsure what this will mean for Girls themselves, and have yet to hear from other member Chet ‘JR’ White.
Girls recently played a one-off UK show at London’s HMV Forum, back in May.
