Alt-J are backing up the brilliant news of their number one album with a new cover.

The chart-topping trio have taken on Disclosure ft. Sam Smith’s ‘Latch’ single as part of a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session.

Basing the rendition around the original’s booming samples, they take on a more falsetto-centric routine.

Second album ‘This Is All Yours’ is out now, currently sitting pretty as the #1 album in the UK charts, above Barbra Streisand and Aphex Twin.

Alt-J just finished their biggest UK tour to date - they return at London’s O2 Arena on 24th January.

Catch up with the September 2014 Alt-J cover feature here, where they discuss the follow-up to 2012 Mercury Prize winner ‘An Awesome Wave’. “We felt vindicated by the success of the first album,” said Gus Unger-Hamilton.

Speaking about the number one album, Gus said: “We’re over the moon to see our album at Number One. It was never something we thought we’d achieve, but it’s our fans who have put us there so we owe this to them.”
