Last week, LA newcomer BANKS rounded off a handful of UK dates alongside R&B giant The Weeknd. Stopping off at BBC’s Maida Vale studios for Zane Lowe, midway through her biggest shows to date, Jillian Banks ran through an appropriate cover.

Taking on ‘What You Need’ from The Weeknd’s debut mixtape ‘House Of Balloons’, the recording is a moody take. It adapts the grayscale BANKS imagery and amps up the soulful energy of her original recordings.
