Watch: Beaty Heart Share New ‘Lekka Freakout’ Video
Beaty Heart perform floating hand and spinning head rituals. It’s weird.
What is a ‘Lekka Freakout’? Is it a weird ritualistic event in which Beaty Heart take some ‘substances’, play Animal Collective and look at weird projections of American landscapes until the walls start spinning and holy shit, they’re standing in the middle of the grand canyon? It is, isn’t it? That’s exactly what happens.
The video for their new single confirms this. It shows bleary-eyed members of the band spinning in mid-air, with floating hands holding shells and pressing samplers. It’s self-directed and it’s completely bloody brilliant.
Watch up above. The single’s released on 11th November. Beaty Heart play Hoxton Bar & Kitchen tonight, 6th November.
