Watch Belle and Sebastian play ‘Nobody’s Empire’ on Conan
Laid-back highlight comes from ‘Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance’.
Last night’s edition of Conan hosted Scottish legends Belle & Sebastian for their first televised performance on the back of new album ‘Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance’.
Stuart Murdoch and co. performed the laid back highlight from the LP, ‘Nobody’s Empire’, which comes complete with the most Belle & Sebastian lyric ever: “Lying on my bed, I was reading French.”
‘Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance’ is out now on Matador. The UK’s midweek album chart update placed the record in the top 10, with other new entries coming from Marilyn Manson, The Decemberists, Fall Out Boy and Mark Ronson, the latter two being head-to-head for a number one spot.
