Here’s something that’s the complete opposite of ‘Everyday Robots’ - Damon Albarn performing a gig for two onlooking androids at Japan’s Miraikan National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
The gig took place as part of a collaboration for the Creators Project. In the corner of an audience sat a slightly creepy, onlooking android called Otonaroid. There was also Telenoid, which didn’t follow human form quite so much. As Albarn performed, the robot reacted organically and even gives a bow to Damon at the end of the set.
Albarn played ‘Everyday Robots’ from the album of the same name - out now on Parlophone - and Blur’s ‘Strange News From Another Star’.
