Eaves Wilder unveils new track ‘In and Out (and Out Again)’
Accompanied by a new vid made by Eaves and her sister Dora!
Following the release of her debut single ‘Won’t You Be Happy’ in July, Eaves Wilder is unveiling her brand new track ‘In and Out (and Out Again)’.
“This is a song about breathing and how hard it can be sometimes,” she explains. “The verses cover the ‘breathing in’ bit, and the inner monologue you have when you’re having a panic attack. The choruses are the ‘breathing out’ bit - until you’re empty and calm again. The lyrics are about being the centre of a problem you created - when you feel you’re burdening and hurting the people around you, on top of hurting yourself. But I think it would be a waste of a song to just focus on the bad so I wanted to give some good big sister advice. When I was panicking, I always wanted a song that I could put on that could calm me down - so that’s what I’ve tried to do here. If you follow the instructions and breathe along, you might, hopefully, feel a bit better at the end.”
Accompanied by a video created by Eaves and her sister Dora during a road trip to their grandma’s house, she adds, “I wanted it to feel surreal. The scene where she takes the potion and is getting bigger, trapped, bursting out of this tiny house and she just can’t stop - that’s what it needed to feel like because that is how it feels. I still wanted that uneasy calmness to it though - how things can feel when you’re right in the middle of it.”
