On the telly
Watch Foals, Disclosure and Kwabs open the new series of Later… With Jools Holland
My Morning Jacket, Rickie Lee Jones and Squeeze also starred.
Last night (September 16th) marked the start of a new autumn series of the BBC’s flagship music show Later… With Jools Holland, and opening episode one was entrusted to none other than current DIY cover stars Foals.
The Oxford band opened the show with ‘Mountain At My Gates’, before bringing the title track of new album ‘What Went Down’ to the telly-box, complete with an impassioned Yannis Phillippakis breaking the fourth wall and venturing out into the studio for the song’s thunderous climax, and a brief cuddle with an unimpressed looking Rickie Lee Jones.
In addition, Disclosure brought ‘Jaded’ from new album ‘Caracal’ to the stage, and Kwabs performed ‘Forgiven’ in support of his new album ‘Love + War’.
Watch all the aforementioned performances below, and check out DIY’s cover feature with Foals online here, or in the mag here.
