Watch: Hockeysmith Unveil ‘But Blood’ Single
Cornwall duo team up with Double Denim for a debut EP, out this spring.

Talk about a step up. Cornwall-based duo Hockeysmith unveiled a handful of tracks in 2013 that were loosely formed examples of experimental pop. They haven’t so much reined it in on ‘But Blood’, their new single, but there’s a refined strut to this track, a sense of purpose.
Bringing together Nine Inch Nails-style industrial electronics, and hushed breathy to-and-fro by way of Warpaint, the song’s taken from a new EP of the same name on Double Denim Records (Outfit, Empress Of).
Davy Evans directs the below video, which is a heavily stylised paint-fest, like Jackson Pollock walking into Berghain.
