Watch: Maximo Park Showcase New Video For ‘Hips And Lips’

Maximo Park will be releasing their new single ‘Hips and Lips’ on the 11th June, and have just showcased the brand new video for it.

The visual clip follows young actor Thomas Turgoose - who is more notably recognisable for his role in Shane Meadows’ ‘This Is England’ - with the band’s frontman Paul Smith only appearing very briefly.

Maximo Park played a very special, intimate show at Newcastle’s Cluny last night (7th May) and will be making the following live appearances in support of their new album.

Their latest album ‘The National Health’ is set for release on June 11th. Speaking about the record, frontman Paul Smith says: ‘We’re in a global recession and everyone is being bombarded with bouncy, happy music. The nation is out of control and the record is about taking back control, and being a force for change in your own life. It can’t speak for everybody but it has its eyes and ears all around us… that’s always been a Maximo Park thing: look at yourself.’

The band are also set to hit the road this June, playing shows in Birmingham, Manchester & London. The dates read:
