Radio heads Watch Phantogram cover Radiohead for Triple J
They played a version of ‘Weird Fishes/Arpeggi’ for the Australian radio station.
Drum-machine loving pop outfit Phantogram were the first band to take part in Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’ sessions this year, and they kicked things off in style.
They decided to take on Radiohead’s ‘Weird Fishes/Arpeggi’ from ‘In Rainbows’, and stayed surprisingly close to the original cut. Sarah Barthel did her best impression of Thom Yorke (which was actually pretty accurate, complete with haunting “oohs”) while the rest of the band kept true to the complex guitar manoeuvres. And there wasn’t a drum machine in sight!
Watch Phantogram perform ‘Weird Fishes/Arpeggi’ below.
