Watch: Savages Unveil New ‘Marshal Dear’ Video
Wartime imagery collides with grim, animated visuals for the Mercury Prize hopefuls’ new clip.
Current DIY Weekly coverstars Savages have unveiled the video for ‘Marshal Dear’, the closing track on their ‘Silence Yourself’ debut, out now on Matador and nominated for the Mercury Prize.
Their video comes animated by Gergely Wootsch and the band’s own Gemma Thompson. It combines wartime imagery with grim, grayscale visuals. Bombs drop from the sky and factories are filled with workers.
