Watch: Temple Songs Air ‘I Can’t Look After You’ Video
Grot-poppers go gritty with their latest clip.
If they hadn’t already confirmed themselves as veterans and leaders of Manchester’s uber-DIY ‘grot pop’ scene, Temple Songs have added yet another absolute corker to their ever-expanding repertoire of dusty lo-fi pop gems to further enhance their claim.
Following on from the superb ‘Passed Caring’, they’ve unveiled this suitably DIY video to go along with new single ‘I Can’t Look After You’.
It’s predictably brilliant, wrapped in their trademark distorted warmth, jangly guitars, and that knack for a killer hook.
No crazy production value required on the video either, going for the old put-them-in-a-tiny-room-and-let-them-play type deal. Very early 90’s vibes. And very, very good.
