Over the weekend, Newcastle and Gateshead hosted BBC Radio 6 Music’s second ever festival - performances came from The Maccabees, Young Fathers, Jungle and loads more.
The opening night’s action witnessed sets from Sleater-Kinney (making their UK comeback) and Interpol. Saturday went on to host performances from Hot Chip, Jungle, Royal Blood and Kate Tempest.
Below, you can watch Hot Chip performing ‘Huarache Lights’ from their new LP, with Jungle showcasing ‘Julia’ and ‘Time’.
On the closing night’s action, The Maccabees showcased new material ahead of their forthcoming 2015 LP, which they say is “finished”. Watch them perform ‘Pelican’ below.
Neneh Cherry, Young Fathers, Gaz Coombes and The Charlatans all helped close the fest.
