Watch: Thirty Seconds To Mars Unveil ‘Up In The Air’ Video

Their newest visual effort comes complete with appearances from lions, zebras, fencing men and of course, Dita Von Teese.

Thirty Seconds To Mars are never ones to be outdone when it comes to their music videos, and they’ve proven that once more with their latest clip.

Compiled of an array of different clips and characters, their newest visual effort comes complete with appearances from lions, zebras, fencing men and of course, Dita Von Teese.

Take a look at the artsy and colourful effort below.

Speaking to DIY recently, Jared Leto - who acts under the pseudonym Bartholomew Cubbins for his directing duties - gave us a few details on the video shoot: ‘I shot this video for four days in Los Angeles, which is a long time for a music video. I shot sixty hours of footage for a four and a half minute clip. Sixty hours!

‘It’s a really beautiful camera that we used, a new camera, but it takes a lot of work to finish though. But it’s exciting!’

The trio, who are set to appear at this year’s Download Festival in June, will release ‘Love Lust Faith + Dreams’ on 20th May.

The album was produced by Leto, with Steve Lillywhite co-producing four of its twelve tracks. Of the record, the frontman says “this is more than an evolution, it’s a brand new beginning. Creatively, we’ve gone to an entirely new place, which is exciting, unexpected, and incredibly inspiring.”

The artwork for the album features Damien Hirst’s ‘Isonicotinic Acid Ethyl Ester’ (2010 - 2011) from his iconic Spot Paintings series. It will be accompanied by a Colour Charts series work on the CD.

The tracklisting for ‘Love Lust Faith + Dreams’ is:

1. Birth
2. Conquistador
3. Up In The Air
4. City Of Angels
5. The Race
6. End Of All Days
7. Pyres Of Varanasi
