Extra, extra!
Waxahatchee reveals new song ‘Air’
Katie Crutchfield has also announced US shows with Girlpool.
Waxahatchee has revealed the first full track from her new album ‘Ivy Tripp’.
‘Air’ follows a snippet of new material Katie Crutchfield posted on her Tumblr page last week, and sticks largely to the formula that her first two records set, while the previous snippet from ‘Ivy Tripp’ swapped guitar for keyboard and a gloomy tone.
‘Ivy Tripp’ is set to be released on April 7th via Merge in the US, and Wichita in the rest of the world. The album follows 2013’s ‘Cerulean Salt’.
In addition to the new material, Crutchfield has also announced a mammoth US tour across April and May, before coming to the UK in June. The singer also plays a small number of European dates at the end of January, including two shows in one evening at London’s St Pancras Church on the 26th.
