Westside Cowboy drop final debut EP single ‘Drunk Surfer’
‘This Better Be Something Great’ lands this Friday via Nice Swan x Heist Or Hit.

Manchester risers Westside Cowboy have shared new single ‘Drunk Surfer’ - our final preview of their debut EP ‘This Better Be Something Great’, ahead of its release this Friday (8th August).
It comes in the wake of a packed few months for the quartet, who won this year’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition and have quickly amassed a cult fanbase thanks to their immediate, timeless brand of ‘Britainicana’.
Speaking about ‘Drunk Surfer’ (which follows debut offering ‘I’d Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love (Until I Met You)’, ‘Shells’, and ‘Alright Alright Alright’ to be the fourth track lifted from the EP), guitarist and co-vocalist Reuben Haycocks has noted that the song is “in all honesty was about a time that I have since forgotten.”
Continuing, he shares: “This is not something that I regret however, as the song is now free to take on new meanings depending on the context of my life. I hope it can work like this for others also.”
