White Denim put a disco-charged new spin on ‘Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)’ for last night’s episode of TV show Fargo. The original is by country singer Kenny Rogers, and his band the First Edition. It was written by Mickey Newbury, and apparently it’s all about the highs and lows of LSD. Mainly the lows, it must be said.

The Austin band haven’t been especially active this year, with their last album being 2013’s ‘Corsicana Lemonade’. It’s probably because the band’s James Petralli has been busy with solo project Bop English.

Nick Cave has also covered ‘Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)’ previously with German band Die Haut. Most importantly, though, Tom Jones also did his own re-imagining of the song in 2012. Listen to White Denim’s take below.
